On the 14th of June 2021, EU-HYBNET has been invited by DG HOME to take part to the Disaster Risk Societies – State-of-play and way forward. As a follow-up of fruitful meetings in the Disaster-Resilient Societies (DRS) Thematic Area held from February to May 2021 within the “Community of European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS)”, DG HOME provided a snapshot of main research-related recommendations and perspectives collected from discussions in the areas of societal resilience, technologies for first responders, support to Sendai FWA, climate extreme events, multihazard risk management (critical infrastructures) and pandemics. In this respect, panel discussions took place around the different themes with key DRS actors, and information was provided on Horizon Europe DRS topics for 2021-2022.
As highlighted in the slide below, Dr. Päivi Mattila, EU-HYBNET coordinator gave a presentation of EU-HYBNET describing the main outputs and perspective for 2022.
